My site-specific artwork for Art in the Open is entitled "Out Building." Out Building will consist of a small structure that appears to be filled and overflowing with bird seed. Through cracks in the door, windows, and underside of the structure—bird seed will overflow to the ground. The windows and doors of the small structure will be boarded shut, appearing to be closed off to any human activity, while appearing to be filled with bird seed. "Out Building" will be open to birds foraging at the site. Visitors are encouraged to document bird species that might be foraging at the site.
