Hitomi Iwasaki joined the Queens Museum in 1996 and has worked on numerous landmark exhibitions including Cai Guo Qiang (1997), Global Conceptualism (1999), and Caribbean: Crossroad of the World (2012). As Director of Exhibitions, her work focuses on conceptually driven site-specific artist projects. Iwasaki has worked with a ranging body of international artists including Terence Gower, Duke Riley, Johanna Unzueta, Jewyo Rhii, among many others. Most recently she has completed emerging artist projects by Meredith James, Kameelah Janan Rasheed, Casey Tang, and Mariam Ghani, and is currently working on solo exhibitions featuring works by Anna K. E. (2017) and Patty Chang (2018). Recent exhibitions at Queens Museum include the 7th edition of Queens International, QM's signature biennial of artists who live/work in Queens, and Hey! Ho! Let's Go: Ramones and the Birth of Punk.
