CFEVA EXHIBITIONS

Small Talk at Seraphin Gallery

Seraphin Gallery and The Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA) are excited to announce a joint POP-UP exhibition hosted by Seraphin Gallery entitled Small Talk. Carefully curated by Alyssa Laverda and Ashley Stahl, this group selection of CFEVA and Seraphin Gallery artists introduces a banter between individual works based on visual relationships and artistic concepts. These pieces are sometimes grouped and juxtaposed together for their humorous and tongue-in-cheek quips, concept-driven and contextual narratives, or associations in their formal qualities of line, shape, light, and color across a wide range of artistic media.

Presented solely in small format, the works possess a preciousness that speak in the form of intricate detail and delicate handling. Small Talk is a give and take, not only between Seraphin Gallery and CFEVA, but also between diverse artists from a variety of different cultural backgrounds, established and emerging, from Philadelphia and beyond.
