More than an afterschool arts and crafts program, Hand-in-Hand serves upwards of 1,000 children in crisis each year free of charge. By partnering with local shelters, transitional housing facilities, and social service agencies, CFEVA provides these youth with hands-on arts instruction by local professional artists. Classes are scheduled weekly over the course of ten-weeks, during which students receive creative guidance, mentorship, and the tools required to empower youth to positively express themselves through art. For three decades, the program has provided opportunities for local professional artists to engage meaningfully in the lives of our region’s youth.
